What are Data Models? #

Data Models are the specifications that we use to represent and structure information in Kelvin. Data Models are designed to allow for the comparison and analysis of data across different data sources and systems. For example, while different timekeeping and billing systems might call a field "Client Name" or "Customer," the LEDES XML 2.2 Data Model - supported by Kelvin - always uses the CLIENT/cl_name field to represent this information.

Currently, support for the SALI LMSS and LEDES/UTBMS Data Models are built into Kelvin. Additional Data Models, including LegalDocML and NOS Legal are planned for future releases.
